NSFVA Partnership with the Food Truck Association of Georgia

FTAG Partnership Announcement

The National Street Food Vendors Association (NSFVA) is proud to announce a new partnership with the Food Truck Association of Georgia (FTAG), the premier statewide association representing street food vendors across Georgia.

FTAG and NSFVA share a common mission: to educate, advocate for, and support the street food vending industry

We’re honored to partner with FTAG and proud to welcome them into the growing NSFVA network as we work together to support Georgia’s street food community and continue strengthening the industry nationwide.

Recognizing FTAG’s Leadership in Georgia

The Food Truck Association of Georgia has already demonstrated what strong state leadership can accomplish.

FTAG played an important role in supporting groundbreaking legislation that helped reduce regulatory barriers for mobile food vendors operating across the state. Prior to this change, food trucks were often required to obtain separate permits and inspections in each county where they wanted to operate.

The passage of Georgia House Bill 1443 created a more practical system by allowing food trucks to operate statewide using permits from their home county. This legislation significantly improved operating conditions for vendors and set an important precedent for other states exploring similar reforms.

Advocacy efforts like this show the impact that organized industry leadership can have on improving opportunities for street food businesses.

FTAG’s progress has provided a powerful example for the rest of the industry. Through this partnership, FTAG and NSFVA will work together to share lessons learned and develop best practices that can help other states pursue similar advancements for mobile food vendors.

Strengthening the Street Food Industry Together

The partnership between NSFVA and FTAG reflects a shared belief that the street food industry thrives when vendors have access to education, community, and strong representation, at every level.

By working together, both organizations aim to:

  • Strengthen advocacy efforts for mobile food vendors
  • Expand educational resources and business training opportunities
  • Connect vendors with industry networks and support systems
  • Share knowledge and tools that help operators build sustainable, profitable businesses

In the coming months, vendors can expect collaborative initiatives between NSFVA and FTAG, including shared educational resources and joint virtual training opportunities designed to support street food entrepreneurs.

At NSFVA, we believe a strong industry requires representation and support at every level. State associations like FTAG play a critical role advocating for vendors locally, while national organizations like NSFVA provide education, resources, and industry connections that help operators grow and succeed beyond their local markets.

Together, we’re building a stronger ecosystem for street food entrepreneurs.
